Abstract
Objective To identify the risk factors of intracranial aneurysms rupture. Methods From January 2008 to May 2010,416 patients consistent with inclusion and exclusion standards in the Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College were consecutively enrolled in this retrospective research. They were divided into two groups, ruptured intracranial aneurysms 326 cases and unruptured intracranial aneurysms 90 cases. The case history and aneurysms character data were collected by the researchers.Logistic regression analysis was used to find the risk factors. Results We found that the excess smoking and family history of intracranial aneurysm had significantly statistical difference between two groups, odds ratio(OR) 18.226 and 14.334,95% confidence interval(CI) 4.427-75.033,3.171-64.786,respectively.Posterior communicating aneurysms were found the most easy rupture of all positions(OR=4.265,95%CI=1.643-11.072).The middle-sized aneurysms with diameter between 5.0 and 9.9 mm run into rupture easily(OR=5.641,95%CI=2.332-13.641).The data above all had significantly statistical difference between two groups. Conclusion Excess smoking, family history of intracranial aneurysm, posterior communicating and middle-sized diameter aneurysms are risk factors of intracranial aneurysms rupture.
