Abstract

Gram caterpillar, Helicoverpa armigera Hubner was observed in a serious form on kalazira during May-July in 1996 and 97. Compartive efficacy of seven insecticides viz. monocrotophos, Dipel, cypermethrin, endosulfan, Neemax, and carbaryl was evaluated under field conditions. The data revealed that cypermethrin was the most effective chemical followed by monocrotophos, carbaryl, endosulfan and Nuvan. Neemax and Dipel were found to be ineffective.
