Abstract

Experiments were laid out during 1989–91 to evaluate the field efficacy of synthetic pyrethroids, namely, cypermethrin, deltamethrin and fenvalerate in comparison to the conventional insecticide, endosulfan at the farm attached to Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindhu University, Varanasi. Lowest per cent pod damage and the maximum grain yield were recorded from the 0.0135% cypermethrin treatment during both the years.
