Abstract
Yellow Rose No.1 is a new mini triploid seedless watermelon by crossing tetraploid line Huanghuang as female parent with diploid line Su 5 Xuan YY as male parent. The variety has mid maturity and sets fruit easily. The average fruit is 2-3 kg. Yield on 667 m2 is about 3 500 kg in greenhouse with grafting cultivation. The fruit is round with yellow skin. Flesh is lemon yellow with small seed traces,fine and crisp texture,and sweet flavor. The center portion soluble solid content is over 11%. The flesh citrulline and Vc content is 3.45 mg/g and 110 mg/kg, respectively. The variety has good adaptability and is suitable for long distance shipping.
