Abstract

In the current survey, based on the pot culture method using Salicylic acid pretreatment in three levels of (0M, 5 10 - M, 4 10 - M)then applying cadmium in three levels of (0,6,12 mg.kg soil ),totally in 9 treatments and three repetitions for every treatment, some biochemical detectors of the pepper plant(Capsicum annum) were studied. The results revealed that the single cadmium treatment decreased the total chlorophyll and increased chlorophyll b and carotenoids. The single treatment with Salicylic acid led to an increase in the amount of chlorophyll a, and carotenoid whereas it had neutral effect on the total chlorophyll content. In concomitant treatments; at both Salicylic acid levels; increased Cadmium decreased these parameters amounts. The results made it clear that in single treatments with Salicylic acid, it had no effects on MDA (malondialdehyde) with 5 10 - M density to observer, but the amount of 4 10 - M improved its quantity. In joint treatments of the treated plants with 5 10 - of Salicylic acid an increase in the
