Abstract
The field studies were conducted at GKVK (UAS Campus) and Laxmidevipura (Bangalore, Karnataka) on the efficacy of various insecticide formulations against scarabaeid grub and beetles infested rose. Phorate (2 kg/ha) caused significantly more toxic effect to grubs and reduced grubs population below ETL50 recording 0.71 grubs/plant however, quinalphos (2 kg/ha), carbofuran (1 kg/ha) and chlorpyriphos (different cons. viz., 0.05%, 0.04%, 0.025% and 0.02%) was resulted moderate effect against the grubs at 15 and 30 DATs. In trial-1 conducted at GKVK campus, carbaryl (0.2%) caused significantly more percentage of beetle’s mortality (61.04%) and in trial- 2 conducted at Laxmidevipura, carbaryl 0.2 % and quinalphos 0.05 % gave significantly maximum number beetles mortality recording 8.77 and 8.53 beetles/plant respectively followed by chlorpyriphos 0.04 %, carbosulfan 0.1 % (2.85 and 2.74 beetles/plant respectively).
