Preparation and identification of bovine β-casein polyclonal antibody.

Abstract

Polyclonal antibody against β-casein was successfully prepared by using the purified β-casein as immunogen.The rabbit antibody was purified by protein G resin affinity chromatography.The ELISA titer of the antibody against β-casein was 1∶1600.Western-blot analysis showed that the antibody was able to specifically bind the β-casein.The rabbit antibody against β-casein might provide an effective tool for studying mammary gland bioreactor.
