Abstract
In this paper, the suitability and the accuracy of Spice-like models for the extraction of typical information required for the design of interconnect, e.g. the eye-diagram and the scattering parameters, is investigated. New expressions for the evaluation of the effective permittivity, essential for all the subsequent calculations, are presented and numerically validated.
