Abstract
Fifteen small agglutinated foraminiferal species belonging to twelve benthic genera are identified from Middle-Upper Eocene succession of Jabal Hafit, Al Ain area (United Arab Emirates) and ten out of them are illustrated. The diversity of the identified species gradually decreases upward throughout the Middle-Late Eocene horizon. The global marked fall in the eustatic sea level took place at the end of the Middle Eocene ( ~ 40 Ma) may also has taken place in the Al Ain area and may caused the deposition of the phosphatic limestone bed, which represents the passage interval between the Middle and Upper Eocene succession. It seems that the changes in paleoceanographic conditions should accentuate the benthic faunal changes. Key words
