Abstract
It is studied that Modern Design Methods based on Pro/Engineer software. The building process of rapid design platform of gear box is given systematically by applying top-down design techniques of data sharing mode, parametric modeling tools of standard parts, interchangeable parts library and kinematic simulation analysis methods. The solid modeling and simulation analysis of gear box is completed. The rapid design platform can provide technical support for manufacturing companies to adapt to quick changes of market and to research and develop series products efficiently.
