Abstract

Taking the cylindrical cam as an example, the process of parametric design and machining simulation from 3D model was introduced, which is to design the 3D model of the part in Solidworks,to set up the toolpaths by translating the 3D model into Mastercam, then to carry on the automatic programming and machining simulation.
