Abstract

This study deals with the relationship between backscattering coefficient and wind speed for microwave frequencies at normal incidence angle. The quasi specular scattering theory for rough dielectric surface has been applied with effective reflection coefficient and refined sea spectrum. The results thus found have been compared with empirical relationship and improvement has been seen over previous results.
