Abstract

Data on the transverse-momentum correlations between like-charged pions are obtained, and on the basis of these data the transverse dimension of the region from which identical pions are emitted is found to be R=1.0 +- 0.1 F. The dependence of the value obtained for R on the position of the pions on the rapidity scale is investigated.
