Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the outage performance of the full-duplex decode-and-forward relay system in a Rician fading environment. We derive an analytical expression for the outage probability of the highest achievable information rate of the system, which can be evaluated by employing numerical techniques. We obtain an upper bound and a lower bound on the outage probability. These bounds are given in simple closed forms and can be easily evaluated. Furthermore, we study the impact of transmit signaling on the outage performance.
