Abstract
The effects of Rician fading on the capacity of multi-antenna systems designed to be optimal for Rayleigh fading are investigated under the assumption that channel state information (CSI) is available only at the receiver. Capacity bounds for the multi-antenna Rician fading channel are also derived and numerical results for some representative situations are provided.
