Abstract
Sky glow is one of main light pollutions. Sky glow has negative influences on the astronomical observation, environmental protection and energy use. From the angles of controlling light pollution and protecting the dark sky resource, the paper analyzed the origin and scale of sky glow. By surveying the night sky brightness in TianJin and other cities at the different time and season, the corresponding results are discussed and compared. Finally, a primary study on the measure methods and assessment methods on night sky brightness was put forward.
