Abstract

The present study has been conducted to evaluate the comparative growth and economic benefits from 8-year-old eucalyptus clones(Eucalyptus urophylla × E.grandis clones 3229,30-1 and E.urophylla clone U6).All eucalyp-tus clones showed high growth rate during the first three years. There were significant differences amongst the 3 Eucalyptus clones in plant height, diameter and volume growth. These indexes were positively correlated with the increasing age.Clone 3229 showed best growth followed by 30-1,while the U6 grew worst.Benefits evaluation results indicated that cultivation of all three eucalyptus clones was profitable, but the clone 3229 has given more benefits compared to the clones 30-1 and U6.The best economic rotation of all eucalyptus clones was in the 7th year, and the benefit of 3229 was the best.
