Abstract
Comparative analyses on the growth and wood properties of 6-year-old Eucalyptu grandis×Eucalyptus urophylla plantation with eight different clones were conducted. The results showed that there were extremely significant or simply significant differences among different clones in DBH,height and standing volume inside the Eucalyptus grandis×Eucalyptus urophylla plantation.Clone T35 had the largest successive growth, followed by Clone T13 and Clone T28.As to the wood quality as plywood manufacturing material, the best was Clone T28,followed by Clone T35.There were differences to certain degree in varied wood property indexes as plywood material among different clones.Comprehensively speaking,Clone T28 was the best among the 8 clones studied for directional cultivation for plywood manufacturing material.
