Abstract

The Petrie to Redcliff Multl-modal Corridor (PRMmC) project situated 23km north of the City of Brisbane, was to create, a well-patronised multimodal corridor that provided a vital public transport link between Petrie and Redcliffe, improved accessibility for the growing population, and encouraged sustainable transport use. The project determined the location, strategy and long-term land requirements of the corridor to accommodate the transport network including active transport (walk and cycle), road, bus and future rail. The project identified opportunities for integrating land use and transport including transit-supportive development associated with future bus and railway stations. To achieve the required outcomes of the project, a project delivery model With two components, VIZ, Concept Design and Impact Management Plan (CDIMP) and Business Case was developed for Investigating and informing decisions on the feasibility and possible staging of the project It was recogmsed that the rail, road and active transport modes for the project were inextricably linked from a transport planning and geometric perspectives and therefore the concept design and impact management of the modes .......ere to be investigated using a holistic or a whole-of-network approach.
