Stylistic Analysis on Foregrounding of Because I could not stop for Death

Abstract
Emily Elizabeth Dickinson is a great poet in American literature.Because I could not stop for Death is one of her poems.Based on the theory of stylistics,this paper analyzes the poem from the perspective of foregrounding.The stylistic features are analyzed from overregularity and deviation respectively.The stylistic analysis will be helpful for the readers to understand the poem and appreciate the unique wrting style of the poet.
