The Connotation and Characteristic of Service Economy

Against the background of economic globalization, information technology and knowledge industry has been undergoing rapid development. It leads to a new kind of economy which unveils a new era for major western developed countries post-industrial society. First of all, this article mainly introduces the connotation and characteristic of service economy in the postindustrial economy era and puts forward the criteria for determining the service economy. Finally, the paper introduces the content and basic characteristics of the service economy and provides the core driving force of service economy.
