Abstract
This article examines the current development of the hotel industry in China, particularly the rapid growth of Chinese hotel brands and international hotel companies. It analyzes and compares hotel financial performances managed by international hotel companies, Chinese hotel management companies, and Chinese independently-managed hotels. The hotel financial reporting system in China is discussed, and the challenges facing hotel financial management in China amid the rapid globalization of hotel development and operations are identified. Recommendations for improving hotel financial reporting and management are provided for China's hotel industry.
