Abstract
The researches combined land suitability evaluation and decision support system need to be improved. For the existed problems that land suitability evaluation systems based on GIS are lack of spatial decision support capabilities and the poor communication among urban planners, land managers and geological experts, a knowledge-based decision support system on land suitability evaluation is developed in this study, and the framework is given, and the designs of knowledge base and the decision inference are particularly discussed. Taking Hangzhou city as case, it is indicated that the system is successfully applied in land suitability decision, by using urban geological survey results, and it helps the urban geological survey results make full use of in the process of land use decision.
