Abstract

The approach to the analysis and planning of the socialist economy from the standpoint of optimality is becoming more and more widespread both in theoretical studies as well as in the solution of planning and economic problems at all levels of national economic planning. The application of economic-mathematical methods and models - including methods of optimal planning - in economic analysis and in national economic planning is all the more fruitful and effective, the more it is based on a proper theoretical and methodological footing.
