Abstract

The complex interactions between urban transport and land use have been a common topic among transportation scholars and urban planners. In order to more fully grasp the nature of the relationship between urban transport and land use, the spatial factor of urban trips and land use is proposed as a new concept in this paper. To verify the existence of the spatial factor and analyze its relevant features, an actual trip case is researched in this paper, which is between the urban business center and a residential area in the urban area. This study in the paper helps to improve and enrich the theory of interactions of urban transport and land use as a new concept.
