Abstract

The proposed approach focuses the reservoir characterization in the facies concept. The facies is determined in an objective and homogeneous way for all the wells and represents the elementary subset of the reservoir, fully characterized from the petrophysical point of view. The facies sequence is organized logically, according to the sedimentological framework. As a consequence, the facies distribution in the field and their subsequent conversion into petrophysical parameters represent the best way to perform the interaal reservoir characterization from the physical point of view.
