Abstract

Petrophysical facies is a new and important concept for reservoir evaluation.Exampled by the cases of Putaohua reservoir in Taidong-Songfangtun area of northern Songliao basin, herein this article, mechanics and procedures of reservoir evaluation using petrophysical facies concept and weighted method are discussed in detail, providing guidance and advises to the establishment of parameter forecast model for sedimentary micro-facies and reservoir petropyhsical facies through counting the reservoir evaluation parameter distribution pattern of different sedimentary micro-facies.The parameter forecast model and weight method are applied to the delicate assessment of 11 layers reservoir petrophysical facies of Putaohua oil reservoir of Taidong-Songfangtun region in Songliao basin. The evaluation result coincides with the current exploration and development situation of this region, which indicates that the forecast model and reservoir evaluation method proposed here possess universal utility.
