Agricultural Regions and the European Rural Farm Population of Natal

Abstract

A physiographic regional delimitation of Natal is made and the strong influence of relief upon the agriculture of the Province is stressed. The map of agricultural regions, based upon dominant farm activities as found in 1951, is described and the chief relationships between the farming pattern and .the distribution of the European rural farm population is discussed.
