Abstract

The New Countryside was published during the 1930s,and it is the journal of Shanxi Rural Education Improvement Association,with the aim at advocating countryside cause,studying countryside problem,improving countryside education,and constructing the new countryside.It has such distinct features as putting emphasis on the combination of the agriculture with pedagogical education and paying attention to the investigation of countryside society.The New Countryside not only provides valuable materials for the study of societal history,but also offer useful inspirations for the construction of socialist new countryside.
