Abstract

This research sought to answer questions about the efficacy of a Professional Development School. Specifically, the study examined the presence of a cadre of student teachers at a PDS site and the impacts upon mentor teachers, the K-8 students in the school, and the school itself. The findings suggest that PDS-mediated collaborations between universities and public schools for teacher education may be productive endeavors for both.
