Abstract
A 12-year-old girl developed aplastic anemia nine months following apparent recovery from viral hepatitis. Her clinical course was complicated by menorrhagia and lack of bone marrow remission in spite of multiple transfusions and therapy with oxymetholone and prednisone. She died of bilateral hemorrhagic pneumonia and gastric hemorrhage.
