The Research on the Process Control of Project Progress System

Driven by the policy of the national construction projects, China's economy has been developing rapidly. In this situation, current construction projects have those features such as large engineering, complex structures, many construction links, long construction cycle, demanding technical quality, complex construction interface, and various influencing factors. In building construction, project investors and management only tend to attach importance to controlling investment and quality , while pay inadequate attention to the control of the construction project's progress. So many projects failed to complete within the specified time basing on a reasonable schedule, the project delays are quite serious, which causes the accumulation of funds , superfluous equipment and materials, waste of human resources. Base on the study of the current status of the control of China's large-scale construction projects' progress , this paper elaborates the principles of the systomatical management for construction project's progress , puts forward some measures for systematically managing construction project's progress, and gives some effective recommendations on construction project's control and systematical management.
