Abstract

Software plays more and more important roles in aircraft. STESA (system-testing equipment for software-intensive avionics) is an effective tool that implements system-testing on software-intensive avionics and could find out a lot of software failures hidden in avionics. There are many STESAs all over the world, for examples, ADS2, RT-LAB, RT-Tester, GESTE etc, some of which are researched and developed for several decades, so summarizing the experiences from these STESAs, organizing the relative researches and development in a clear and simple logic structure and preparing the foundation for the next generation of STESA are the purposes of the paper.
