Abstract
About 20% of the wells on the Norwegian Continental Shelf suffer from integrity problems. Often these are leaks in tubing or casing. Subsea wells have in general no access to closed annuli, so thermally induced pressure buildup cannot be relieved. On platform wells WAG wells are in particular thermally loaded because of the cold water injection followed by periods of hot gas injection.
