Abstract
In view of the mode of the road, rail, water transport, air and pipeline transportation and so on, five factors of the cost, speed, security, punctuality and transportation capacity are compared which point out the advantages and disadvantages of each transportation mode, and use the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) for the optimal decision is the railway transportation, and then analyze the current bottlenecks and defects existing in the railway transportation and present some suggestions for railway transport improvements.
