Abstract
Research on miniature cylindrical piezoelectric ultrasonic motor is briefly reviewed in this paper. A novel miniature piezoelectric ultrasonic motor based on free-shaft fixed using circular bending vibration modes is introduced in detail. The motor's vibration modes and driving mechanism are explained using the finite-element method. The vibration mode of stator, effects of slots on stator and mode degeneration are investigated, the simulation results are given out at last.
