Abstract
This paper reviews the fundamental architecture and security issues of WiMax networks addressed in relevant standard and several papers. At first a global overview of WiMax technology provided followed by its architecture and security concern. Then an explanation of IEEE 802.16 standards and introduction of IEEE802.16g and security threats mentioned in the available literature presented along with properly description. This paper provides the basics of architectural model of IEEE802.16 with the brief introduction of MAC and PHY layers working. This paper also includes the comparison study of WiMax with other latest technologies like Wi-Fi.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
