Abstract
Water and steam distilled essential oils obtained from Ocimum hasilicum L. cultivated in Turkey were examined by GC and GC/MS. Sixty compounds representing 90% of the oils were identified. Linalool, (E)-methyl cinnamate and 1,8-cineole were the major constituents in both oils.
