Abstract
Two (methoxymethyl)melamine resins of industrial and commercial interest have been analysed by means of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)/electrospray ionization ion trap mass spectrometry in order to identify the components of the complex mixtures which are produced by melamine resin manufacturing procedures. The approach provided a simple but highly valuable analytical tool, able to yield data on molecular weight and chemical structure of the components separated by HPLC. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
