Abstract
Gay and lesbian youth are at risk of school failure, suicide, and serious life problems. They are harassed at school and need counselors who will understand and work with them. Court cases demonstrate the liability of schools to protect gay and lesbian students from harassment. Practical counseling strategies for gay and lesbian students are recommended.
