Cultural heritage: World Heritage Sites and responsible tourism in Argentina.

This chapter explores the relationship between cultural heritage and responsible tourism primarily through an analysis of three of Argentina's World Heritage Sites, but complemented by two other case examples, with a focus on the early period of their establishment and an emphasis on community involvement. Through the analyses of these cases, it clearly emerges that such participation can be either a driver for, or an obstacle against, the implementation of responsible tourism.
