System of official distribution of digital information with use of the second transponder of direct television broadcast satellite

Abstract

The second transponder intended for television broadcasting for the 1 dB wave range in the Siberia region is not being exploited properly due to high levels of interference. Thus, the potential capabilities of the "Ekran-M" satellite are not being used completely. It is suggested that the digital data transmission satellite system "Ekran-D" should be organized in order to increase the efficiency of exploiting the "Ekran-M" satellite.
