Abstract

Results of indoor determination on Monochamus alternatus Hope eclosing on the trunk of Pinus massoniana died of Bursaphelenchus xylophilus indicated that 86% of longhorn beetles carried Bursaphelenchus xylophilus and a longhorn beetle carried 3590 on average Bursaphelenchus xylophilus can not be separated from the Monochamus alternaius Hope lured in healthy forest without Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, but 65% of longhorn beetles lured in occurrence area of Bursaphelenchus xylophilus carried 101~5 000 From the last ten-day of May to the middle ten-day of June ,on the fresh trunk of Pinus massoniana, the number of Monochamus alternatus Hope lured with black light lamp was more than 10 The occurrence of Bursaphelenchus xylophilus can be monitored in early stage by normal separating method
