Abstract

This article presents a range of alternative kinds and degrees of deregulation possible for the US electric-utility system. It examines some of the principal issues and possible effects of differing approaches to deregulation. In the process, it helps to clarify the wisdom and feasibility of making changes in electricity regulation. 4 references, 1 table.
