A latin írásbeliség kialakulása a középkori Magyarországon = The Formation of Latin Literacy in Medieval Hungary

Kutatási munkatervem (A latin írásbeliség kialakulása a középkori Magyarországon) célja a következő volt: a latin nyelv szemszögéből megvizsgálni Magyarország beilleszkedését a nyugati keresztény kultúrkörbe. A munkaterv témakörébe tartozott a szóbeliség és írásbeliség, a kéziratos kultúra, illetve a királyi és egyházi igazgatás vonatkozó szerepének vizsgálata is. Általában úgy vélem, hogy A latin írásbeliség kialakulása a középkori Magyarországon című kutatási munkatervem a következő eredményekkel járt: az átlagos képzettségű litterati és az írástudó elit kapcsolatának megállapítása, valamint a recepció különböző csatornáinak meghatározása a nyugati latin kultúra importja és exportja szempontjából. Végül megállapítottam, hogy a latin írásbeliség kialakulására vonatkozó töredékes forrásanyag vizsgálata során alkalmazható a centrum és periféria elmélete a középlatin filológia művelői számára. | The purpose of my research project (The Formation of Latin Literacy in Medieval Hungary) was the following: to examine Hungary's adaptation to Western Latin culture from the point of view of the Latin language. The scope of the research project contained the study of the relevant functions of orality and literacy, the manuscript culture, as well as the royal and ecclesiastic administration. Overall, I believe that the major contributions of my research project on The Formation of Latin Literacy in Medieval Hungary were the following: the establishment of the relationship of the litterati of a modest training and the literate elite and the provision of new insights on the various channels of reception in terms of importing and exporting mainstream Latin culture. Finally I concluded that, while examining the fragmented evidence on the formation of Latin literacy in freshly Christianized territories, one can adapt the concepts of center and periphery to the study of Medieval Latin.
