Abstract
This paper focuses on the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) aspects of the Model Deployment Initiative for the AZTech Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) project in Arizona. It gives an overview of the ATMS, including the freeway management system, traffic signals and smart corridors. Advanced technologies in public transit are discussed. The evaluation process, and private sector participation are also briefly described.
