Abstract

The economic planning is important for newspaper industry. It is necessary for the continuity ofpublishing, continuity in the development ofpublic opinion. It is also important for active management ofthe organization and to achieve the aims and objectives of the newspaper. The good management of the newspaper is to keep the reach of newspaper to all the readers at the right time. In this paper an attempt has been done to explore the monetary consumption in the newspaper publication and the revenue sources in the newspaper industry. The study shows that monetary consumption is highest in newsprint of English language. The state-wise average price of per copy is also calculated in the study. The study describes that circulation of newspaper and advertising in newspaper are two main sources of revenue for newspaper industry. The habitual use and steady demand for the newspaper, as well as continuing attractiveness to advertisers, indicates that newspaper industry will remain a profitable industry into the 21st century.
