Characteristics and geographical distribution of Yunnan crops resources III.Appearance quality of Yunnan local rice germplasm

The climates of 128 counties of 5 main rice zones in Yunnan were studied by using Geographic Information System(GIS) technique,and the ecological distribution of nutrient quality of Yunnan local rice germplasm were analysed.Results showed that germplasm with high or low protein and high lysine content mostly distributed in Yunnan subtropical area,single cropping hsien and keng overlapping zones of middle Yunnan and double cropping hsien rice zones of south part of the province.Protein and lysine contents of germplasm from the north subtropical area,northeast and northwest of the province were higher than that from other area of the province.However,different nutrient components showed diverse distribution in different area.
