Abstract

In the 1 st report, the uneveness of transmission due to the mechanism of transmission between the roller-chain and the sprocket-wheels was analysed under assumptions that the dimensions of any parts of the sprocket-wheels and the roller-chain were correct and the system was driven in the static region. The result of the analysis was verified by experiment. In this paper, other sorts of uneveness of transmission caused from the dimensional errors of the sprocket-wheels and the roller-chain were examined at static region. It was found that the dimensional errors caused the uneveness of transmission which had longer period than that of uneveness of transmission due to the mechanism of transmission. The relations between the magnitude of errors and the magnitude of the uneveness of transmission were obtained experimentally. Further, the influence of setting error of the sprocket-wheels was examined and the setting tolerance concerning with the uneveness of transmission was found out.
