Abstract

Networks-On-Chip (NoC) are a promising approach to connect the increasing number of components being integrated into Systems-on-Chip. In order to meet the growing demands for the simulation of such systems, abstraction techniques like Transaction Level Modelling (TLM) are used to describe the communication. In this work, we investigate the application of SystemC TLM2 for modelling network-based interconnects at early design stages, providing fast simulation by describing end-to-end communication with a single transaction at the expense of reduced accuracy.
